Today wasn't too good of a day for me.I watched a movie called, "Pieces of April". It was about a girl (Kate Holmes) who is estranged from her family and has invited them for Thanksgiving. The thing that stuck me the most was her behaviors had made her family leery of her and their assessments were correct. It made me think of my own life in relation to my behaviors, which caused the people around me to ostracize me. The story flashes back and forth to the family traveling to New York and April preparing the dinner.The family consists of a Father, Mother (who has had breast cancer), Brother, and Sister.It appears that the only family member who has screwed up is April. They all seem to be thriving and healthy in there minds and their behaviors.During the course of their drive they’re tense and there are times where the mother mocks the attempts of April in providing the Thanksgiving dinner.My perception was that the mother was mean spirited but what was really below the surface was her fear of her own daughter.
